I first picked up a camera at the age of 9 on a camping trip away with my grandma where I was instantly hooked. Photography was a passion we shared for over 10 years and so Valerie Visuals was named as a tribute to her; my number one supporter, mentor and critic. I’ve worked with many incredible mentors across the country and currently stand as New Zealand’s youngest accredited judge in photography.

I’m based in the Waikato with my fiancé and our gorgeous Finnish Spitz called Fox. I’m a lover of all things outdoors and naturally started my photographic journey through landscape photography. However, after losing my grandmother I quickly learnt that when a picture can speak a thousand words, I would much rather it being telling the stories of my loved ones.
